Flamingo Shanghai is a consumer enabled brand consultancy that uses qualitative research tools to provide inspired, clear and actionable recommendations. We call it Thinking That Works. We use a wide and varying range of approaches and tools in the work we do, but we are not guided by methodologies. More than anything we apply our own intuition and experience to any research problem. Research should be enabling, it should inspire, it should not be thought of as a consumer arbitration process. Whilst we believe in constantly remaining adaptable and agile in our working methods, what underpins all of our work is consistently delivering rigorous, strong, strategic thinking and creative solutions. Our role is to work through consumer response, looking at where that response comes from and what that means for brands going forward. We use people’s thoughts and conversations as a basis for our thinking but we are not governed by them – it is our role to understand people within a broader culture and add our brand expertise to any project. We are proud that our thinking has helped many of the world’s great brands and the great relationships we’ve established with our clients.
