The Minsheng Art Museum’s official opening show is on now: ‘Thirty Years of Contemporary Chinese Art 1979-2009.’ Rather than an in-depth exploration, it’s a contextual chronological overview. Broadly speaking – the curation covers Rural Realism, through the ‘New Wave Movement,’ Socially influenced Realism, hyper-realism and Chinese Expressionism.
It’s a great show, a fascinating collection, a brilliant gallery space and well worth visiting if you have not already. Here are some pics.
