Ding Dong

The BBC / British Museum series ‘A History of the World in 100 Objects’ recently reached Confucianism in China.

This wonderful program sees ancient Chinese social and political thought refracted through the lens of bronze bells. It’s a fascinating exploration of how musical harmony, social order, trade, technology and self-cultivation can be seen to interact through material culture.
